Hi, I'm Stefano, originally from Rome, Italy, but now living in San Francisco. The photo above was taken by my daughter when she was 13 during an impromptu photo walk in Haight-Ashbury. I was pointing out something interesting to her, and she captured the moment.
This photo embodies the essence of EsseBee Eye Lab. My photography isn't about meticulous planning or technical perfection. I'm drawn to dynamic elements in my surroundings – a unique face, an interesting car, a familiar view seen from a new angle. These moments often happen unexpectedly, and I have to quickly shift into "photographer mode." I prioritize capturing the life and spontaneity of the moment over perfect technique.
You'll notice that the camera itself is not the focus of this photo, it is actually out of sight. While I appreciate good equipment, it's secondary to the fleeting inspiration that drives me to capture a scene. This is why you'll find photos taken with my iPhone or Google Pixel alongside more "traditional" images. I recently started using smartglasses for work, and I've found they're incredibly useful for quickly capturing those fleeting moments of inspiration. Some may consider this unconventional, but it's how I experience the world.
This website is still under development. I would greatly appreciate any feedback you have as I continue to refine it. I'm committed to improving the site's user experience, the purchasing process, and the quality of the photographs I share.
